At least eleven killed as heavy rain lashes KarachiKARACHI: At minimum eleven individuals passed on, salvage sources said Friday, in Karachi after overwhelming precipitation lashed the megapolis setting off a force breakdown in many parts.

The storm brought about stumbling of 400 feeders diving Korangi Crossing, North Karachi, New Karachi, Lyari, Old City Area, Saddar, Gulistan e Jauhar and a few different zones into obscurity.

Friday's downpour left seven individuals dead in the city, as per salvage sources, with the vast majority of them shocked as downpour water immersed various low-lying areas.

A representative for the K-Electric, the principle power supplier in the city, said power supply to 200 feeders was reestablished and that work was in advancement on outstanding feeders.

When the force supply was detached, the 72-inch width pipeline of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) burst, suspending water supply to the city of more than 20 million.

The KWSB representative charged that the pipeline burst after the K-Electric over and again disengaged power supply to various pumping stations.

In the mean time, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah telephoned overseeing chief of the K-Electric and guided him to guarantee continuous force supply to the megapolis.

Prior, the overwhelming precipitation brought about gigantic movement growl ups crosswise over Karachi. Residents froze while attempting to creep forward on real avenues for a considerable length of time.
