JHELUM: A Pakistan-born British woman died in a hospital on Monday due to the alleged negligence of the staff.
According to details, the family of the deceased woman protested against the hospital’s administration and stated that the female patient was lying on a stretcher in agonizing pain yet the nurse who was supposed to be treating her and attending to her needs, was busy on her phone.
The deceased woman, Farzana, was forty years old and was brought to the hospital since she had fallen seriously ill. Due to non-availability of a proper supply of oxygen and the alleged negligence by the nurse, Farzana had died. She had arrived four days ago in Jhelum to meet her brothers.
MS Dr. Shaukat Mehmood has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the case. The committee will present its report to Dr Mehmood within 24 hours.
